How it began...
Notorious was only 6 months old when she was rescued from Heath Haven in Idaho. When she was adopted, she was around 2 years old. She's now around 9 or 10 living her dream life with her sister, Shady. It is unclear whether her back was broken from abuse or from being dropped. Notorious is paralyzed but that doesn’t stop her from hiking and even paddle boarding! She is truly a super star.
Shady was brought to a local shelter in a rural part of Washington called Adams County Pet Rescue. After being hit by a car, her owner couldn't afford to pay for her medical care. She had lost both eyes in the accident. The veterinarians at the shelter tried everything to save her eyes. Unfortunately, they were unable to reattach them properly. Instead of putting her under anesthesia again, they decided to leave the wonky eye in. Shady is blind, but luckily she has Notorious to guide her around. As of now, she is 10-11 years old, and was about 6 or 7 years old when she was adopted.

K911 ResQ is a nonprofit organization completely run on fundraisers and donor help that helps rescues in extreme cases of neglect, health crisis, and emergency facilitation. Most of the animals they rescue are in desperate need of medical and/or social rehabilitation.
