@Jubilee_The_Blind_Dog: Jubilee

How it began...

Jubilee the Australian Shepherd joined her forever home in July of 2018. In 2021 she started to develop pain in her eyes and she began to change pigment in areas such as her nose and lips. It took about a year for an official diagnosis of Uveodermatologic Syndrome, a rare autoimmune disease that affects the melanin in her cells. Even with treatment, the disease caused her to go blind.

After complications from her medications, she had her eyes removed.

Since her operation, her quality of life has increased and although her fur will continue to whiten, she is still uniquely beautiful. She enjoys strolls through gardens and farmers market and going to work with her human. Jubilee teaches others to see with their heart, and love unconditionally in the face of fear.

Jubilee’s rescue of choice:

Second Chance for Blind Dogs

Silvie Bordeaux's life mission is to help as many blind dogs as possible.  She hopes that all blind dogs in shelters and rescues will wear Muffin's Halos to help them navigate their way into their furever homes quickly and remove their stigma from blindness.

As a 501(c)3 organization, Second Chances for Blind Dogs provides assistance to blind dogs.

Rescue Tale will donate 10% of proceeds to Second Chance for Blind Dogs
